I love making things, I started taking sewing classes at my local community centre nearly 8 years ago and haven't stopped since. I like upcycling, charity shopping and refashioning unused clothes. I believe in sustainable fashion and I try to reuse and recycle materials wherever I can to reduce waste. My curiosity, passion and, as Esme Young said, unique style and taste, led me to be one of the finalists of the Great British Sewing Bee 2019. Sewing is very creative, useful and it's good for the environment!

"A really great sewing class - not intimidating at all and so much fun!
Riccardo is super relaxed and friendly but also very knowledgable and supportive. I learnt much more than I expected and the best thing was coming away with a pair of trousers I made myself! Hurray!!!"
"I really feel like I’ve really learnt so much today. I liked how you showed us basics in the beginning and let us practice before trying to make the Pyjama bottoms. You were very attentive and gave us guidance. Also you’re personality made everything very fun and enjoyable, as well as educational. This course has really given me the confidence to try and make more and learn more. My sister has already given me an order to make her something. Hopefully I can attend another course of yours in the future."
"I can’t believe I left my house with a 2 meter cloth and came back with a pair of pyjamas trousers!! ... I was a bit nervous when I left my house in the morning as this was my first workshop I didn’t know what to expect but from the very beginning you made everybody feel comfortable and created such a nice atmosphere that made the whole experience even more enjoyable."
